The Reserve
The "Grotta di Entella" Nature Reserve with its landscape, geological, vegetation and fauna peculiarities, winds through the remains of the mythical city of the same name, of Elymian origin (6th century BC). From the summit plateau you can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the valley of the left branch of the Belìce river. Entella was an important urban center and constituted the last stronghold of Muslim resistance to Latin penetration into the island. It was destroyed by Frederick II in 1246.
