The collection

These are works of art (sculptures, watercolours, porcelain and ceramics) with a delicate sensuality created by the artist from Caltanissetta Rita Gallè (1931-2009). Defined by art critics as one of the greatest jewelery creators, so much so that she deserves the epithet of " Priestess of Stones ". The artist wanted to offer a testimony of affection to the city of Menfi, the place where she lived her childhood, donating a series of works that stand out for their vitality, sensitivity, and above all for that simple and fascinating expressive force that as a Sicilian she was able to instill and transmit in his creations. In 2011 was added the donation of the Milanese art printer Giorgio Upiglio (1932-2013), proponent of the historic and much celebrated printing house in via General Fara 9 in Milan, who donated to the city of Menfi an extraordinary corpus of the printing house of most famous art in the world, made up of lithographs, etchings, aquatints, matrices, plates, folders and artist's books, which narrate and document the activity of Giorgio Upiglio, the great and "only" master, linked to the history of engraving between technology science and art.
